Tune in and rock out to the music that influenced early Metallica and many other bands you all know and love.
I can’t honestly decide if I’m completely sold on this band……yet….I’ll stress the yet
Several elements seem to be present for intense poential. Fantastic guitar work, off the chart drumming, intelligent lyrical content, vocals that switch seemlessly from growling to crisp melodies.
It seems like this band suffers from an identity crisis over what kind of musical direction they want to travel. Death metal, metalcore (God, I hate that term), symphonic, thrash….It seems that The Agonist wants to do it all in virtually every song. It’s almost as if they want to be Arch Enemy, Holy Moses, Epica, and newer Nightwish all in one package. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just sounds like a cacophony of fuzz and growls. When the pieces fit, though, they really fit. It will be interesting to watch this band grow during their career.
You decide for yourselves. Check out “Thank You Pain”
No Boundaries Radio is proud to announce that we will start airing the Rock And A Hard Place Show hosted by Torch. We will air the show each Wednesday and Sunday at 4 P.M. Central. Each episode, you will hear some of the best in Stoner, Glam, Goth, Power Metal, AOR and good old fashioned ass-kicking rock, along with new bands that you need to hear. There will also be interviews with various bands and personalities from the world of rock and metal.
Having a penchant for playing music that traditional terrestrial radio stations would shy away from is exactly what makes Rock In A Hard Place a perfect fit into what No Boundaries Radio is all about.
Be sure to tune in and play it LOUD Wednesdays and Sundays at 4 P.M. Central
One thing you can always count on from the girls in Kittie…..You never know which direction they will venture toward with each album release….Sometimes it’s growl intensive metalcore, sometimes it’s melodic rock/punk oriented….When they’re given the chance to take their time and create, it’s usually an amazingly fun ride.
Enjoy the newest video for the song “Cut Throat” from the upcoming release “In The Black”….The new album is due to hit shelves on Sept. 15, 2009.
